Gefrin Trust Galleries

The First Open Day

The Gefrin Trust held our very first open day in July 2007. We set up our travelling exhibition in the shed at West Kirknewton farm and erected a troublesome marquee on the Ad Gefrin field.

The weather held (though the marquee didn't) and groups of visitors were given a fascinating guided tour of the site and the history of the area by Roger Miket. Paul Frodsham led a group of visitors on a guided walk up to the hillfort on Yeavering Bell.
